Word	I have never seen this before	I have seen this word before	Write the sentence the word is used	I think this word means…..	Expert definition….
Pigsty			Well it's not ok and you know it. It's a pigsty a rubbish dump. that's what it is	When someone or something makes a place or area really really messy.	A partly covered pen for pigs.
Comfortable			Tim sits in a comfortable chair and watches joe work.	A place that you like that is soft smooth also nice and relaxing.	Something providing ease and relaxation.
Machine			Wow look at the dust! And sweets with fluff on them stickers, tissues and coins… the machine is not even choking.	Something made out of metal and gears.	Any device that transmits a force or directs its application
Responsible			It has to be a good job or mum will think the cleaners not working properly. She made me responsible.	When someone is being good and very trustworthy.	Being capable of being trusted.

In the text it says….	My connection….	I felt….. because
Mum - “Well it’s not ok and you know it. It’s a Pigsty, a rubbish dump. That’s what it is.”	My mum always tells me to clean my room and its sooooo annoying	I felt annoyed because she always says it in a mean voice -__-
Joe - “Hi Tim! What about coming for a bike ride?” Tim - “I can’t at the moment, Joe. Mum’s vacuum cleaner’s almost worn out and i’m testing it.”	I could not go to my own sisters birthday party. because I was at my nana's house.	I felt guilty because my nana wanted to go out and her party was on the same day as us going out and she was sad that i did not come.
Ryan - “We did your dirty work!” Joe - “You planned the whole thing”  Tim - “You’re my friend. I knew you wouldn’t mind	When my friends danni and Jamie ask me if I can help cleaning their room but I don't mind.	I felt ok with that because I like tidying up because when and if you finish you feel accomplished.
Ryan - ill do a job i promise.	One time I promised my mum i would start helping out more around the house.	I felt good because mum was proud of me. because I do  help a lot more around the house.

my reading for Tim´s clean up

hi guys and girls This week we have been reading a text called Tim's clean up. It is about a boy called Tim and his mother gets really mad because the house is horrifically messy and Tim does not wand to clean so he tricks his friends into cleaning for him.

This week we have been focusing on making connections between the text and our self's a text to self is ... When  something in the text happens to you in real life for example...   if your text says that they have dropped some ice cream once you might have also done that. Well that is a text to self connection we have also focused on summarizing. summarizing is when you retell the text in your own words.

The Bloodthirsty Shark 

Beneath the dark murky surface of the water lies a deadly bloodthirsty creature.
The mysterious animal was aggressively snacking on a bloody chunk of rotten
flesh.

The remains of the bone from the carcass delicately sunk to the bottom of the
sea as the horrific creature set out for it’s gooey main meal. 
As night faded away the decomposed prey was no more.

The ravenous creature’s blood shot eyes locked
onto a much bigger and more succulent target. 

Quickly it sped like a torpedo clinching its razor sharp teeth with all its strength. 

As the target grew closer the jaws widen about to sink its yellow teeth into the
gruesome limbs ruby red water flooded the sea.

The chickens were safe. The chainsaw started up.	The tree crushed the chicken coop. Dad and uncle harold fought.	They clipped the chicken wings. And chased the chickens too.
