Kia ora, This week we have been learning about the movie, Wonder.
Here are my thoughts on the movie. Enjoy!
This week we watched a movie about Bullying and how it hurt a boy called Auggie.
He has a big sister called Via (Olivia). He was picked on because He was born with a
facial deformity, a combination of Treacher Collins syndrome and a hemifacial microsomia.
When he was wearing a mask on Halloween he heard his friend say
”I would kill myself if I looked like Auggie” “Since I was told to be his welcome buddy by
Mr Tushman he pretty much just follows me around” This made Auggie feel upset because
he had no other friends. Until Summer went over to him, Talked to him and then asked
him to be friends. Here’s a quote from Auggie: “I know I’m not an ordinary 10-year-old kid.
I mean sure, I do ordinary things. I eat ice cream. I ride my bike. I play ball. I have an Xbox.
Stuff like that makes me ordinary. I guess. I feel ordinary. Inside.
But I know ordinary kids don’t make other ordinary kids run away screaming in the
playgrounds. Here’s what I think: "The only reason I’m not ordinary is that no one else
sees me that way.” The theme of the story is about. Bullying, Acceptance, Perception,
Friendship, Family, Courage, Kindness, Isolation and Diversity.
Hope you like my images too.
Now you're talking! Great to see you publishing a worthy Blog. Wonderful choice of pics too (especially the one of the actor in real life). You've used quotation marks accurately and should be well on the way to expanding your output. Yes??:-)
